Anti-Nick Burns!

Okay who's seen the SNL skit Nick Burns: Your Company's Computer Guy? Jimmy Fallon is in it. He's the IT guy that comes and makes fun of everyone in the office for needing help with their computers. SO much truth to that in my experience. The arrogant IT help guys who think you're sooooo dumb for not understanding everything they do. Well this is the exact oppostie case with OAC Technology. You never have to explain the history of what the IT guy did last time someone was there because OAC always sends out the same person! It's sooo nice to have one person who knows your IT history coming out and fixing problems rather than trying to have someone like me (who knows nothing of IT) try and explain it. If your company is dissatisfied with their IT consulting firm, or just looking for a new one, I suggest finding someone like OAC Technology.

Movies Before Bed

I don't know why I keep doing it to myself, but I've been watching scary movies and actions movies before bed. My sleep is restless because of all of the scary dreams I've been having. I'm always being chased or something in my dreams because of the flicks I watch before bed. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm thinking no matter how tired I am I need to watch something after these movies before I fall asleep. Just some kind of stupid half hour show that will keep the creepy dreams away. I'm just so tired!

An Interesting Concept..

I've always been interested in going green. Being environementally friendly is very important, IMO. However, I never really thought about how this can be lost in translation. It's obviously no secrect that our industrial industries, especially when it comes to fuels, is in high cooperation with other countires. I was recently reading about Global Harmonization and it makes so much sense to me, I hope that this is something that can become commonplace within the very near future.

Global Harmonization is the practice of coming up with a universal system for knowing how to treat and handle chemicals. Not only is this important for environmental reasons, but for safety reasons as well. If employees cannot read the warning labels on products due to a lack of understanding the language they can't possibly know how to safely handle the product, which is a danger to both the employee and the environment if the chemicals aren't handled and disposed of properly.

The way to implement a Global Harmonization System aka a GHS system is to raise awareness of the problem and the solution. I think if we can start small with these implementations i.e. putting them on common household liquids people will start to automatically learn this GHS language. There are many companies that deal with safety training programs and to get these companies to implement the GHS system we can slowly but surely achieve Global Harmonization in a few short years. Hopefully, a simple journal entry can be a microscopic step in this process

The weight is lifted

Finally, it's over. All of the struggle, time, and money that went into the chargest for my DWI. Finally, they were cleared. I couldn't be happier. It seemed like a long road, but with the help of my Minneapolis DWI laywer I've been cleared. They did such a great job of not only being great lawyers, but lending an ear to someone on the brink of a crisis. I felt as though I could really trust them and it really paid off.

WIth all this behind me I can focus on what's important, my children and my career. I can focus on work and helping out at school without having those dooming charges hanging over me. I feel like an incredible weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Things at work have been going well and I'm sure it's only up from here.

Apartment Living

I've found a great poperty management company to help me find the perfect apartment. Real Estate Equities has affordable Bloomington apartments. It's jsut a hop skip and a jump away from Minneapolis, but I won't have to raise kids in the city either. I'm very excited about this!

Almost TWO Months Since The New Year?!

I can't believehow fast this year is already going. March is in 2 days?! I always consider March to be Spring even though I know the first day of Spring is Aprile 21st. It's just crazy that 2013 has been flying by for me! I'm excited with how it's going and in keeping with my New Year's Resloution of starting fresh my spring cleaning is going to be DEEP this year. I'm nervous about the amount of time this is going to take, but I know it's going to feel so good once it's all done. I'll start mentally prepping myself now. I anticipate I will start mid month and maybe finish by the first day of spring.

Moving On!

I have a lot of worries about moving closer to work. I don't really want to raise children downtown. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Hello!

Hello everyone! I am very excited to get going on inbox journal. It seems like a great way to get some frustrations out and get some good advice at the same time!

At work they've put me in charge of finding the right promotional products. Has anyone tried EmbroidMe? I'm wondering because I know they are a large brand, but they're franchised so I feel like I can still get the care of a "Mom and Pop" shop. I need to get an affordable rate, but I'm SO tired of looking around. Thoughts anyone?
