Well, it has been a long while since I have used this but I have a need to write. I just got a book published and it is available in October. I am excited but really don't know how many people will actually buy it and read it. I'm hoping a lot. It is called "Love Believes All Things: A Love Story In Verse" and is a story about a little boy abused by an alcoholic father and despartely in need of love. He is given a porcelain doll that he adopts as his "sister." The story follows Bobbie through his entire life and is told through the eyes of the little boy himself and through those of the doll.

All Those That Wait On The Lord Will Never Be Brought To Shame

I am happier than I have ever been. I have been put through so much trials in my life but God is faithful who will never abandon His child. I have waited and waited for my wife to begin to take God seriously so our marriage and life together can begin to deepen. This has finally happened. I am so grateful to my Lord for finally getting to her heart and letting her know that fighting is not as rewarding as obedience to Him. I learned that lesson a very long time ago. I have been waiting for a wife to be a woman of God. My first wife just thought I was obsessed. Now my lovely spouse is finally becoming that very kind of a person that will be an example to my children and to others for God's glory. I love her so much. I wish I could share these blessings with my sister D but I can't. May God heal that rift as well.

How retirement feels to a man with no money.

It's been a little over 5 weeks since I retired and I see the benefits and shortcomings of living on one's own schedule. I feel the freedom and ability to flex to anything I need or want to do. But at the same time I need to constantly be creating schedules for myself to remain busy and productive, else boredom WOULD set in. I feel no special pressure over what day it is, no Monday blues or Friday anxiousness, no Saturday relief or Sunday resolve to start Monday over again. On the other hand, I feel no days at all. Each day blends into the next and I often forget what day IT IS! I have been exercising more in the gym but I haven't lost any weight because more of my day is spent in front of the computer doing my ministry. I clean the house and cook, a nice little house husband. I hope that there is rewards in heaven for this and that the ministry is blessed because of the work in it. I am socially deprived. My wife constantly goes off to work and I am left with no one to talk to. I am despirate for other folks to talk to. But the good side of that is that I am spared the constant over and over c

But the good side of that is that I am spared the constant over and over complaining that I heard when I was working. So all in all I am glad I am retired but learning to adapt. It will take a few months but I will get a routine that I can live with because I think the routine is what I miss most. A lonely Swordbearer.

Hi everyone. I wanted to say that I appreciate this service to write my thoughts and desires and things down. I appreciate when people comment and say things that mean something to them. I offer help where I can and love where I can. Some people are so needing someone to care. I try to love them in the things I write. I try to show that God loves them and reassure them that the pain they feel can be overcome with God's help. I read of young women that have been hurt by careless thinking young men. I read real pain in guys that have not been able to get a handle on life. I read hopelessness and dispair in so many people. I want to say it is possible to be loved and cared for. God loves you and wants you to know it. Life is more than just an orgasm, or more than just money, or more than just having someone say they love you. Though all those things are nice. But getting those things improperly can make one miserable and tear a hole in one's heart. May God's love shine into the lives of all who write here and read here. In Christian love, Swordbearer.

First post.

This is my first post to the public Journal. I have been on Google's Hubpages for a long time. I love to write and would invite any that wish to come there to join me. I write under the name of "No body." I love to help people see things from different perspectives. I have made a lot of friends on Hubpages and written over 80 hubs. I am hoping to make lots of friends here as well. Many blessings to all. Swordbearer.

    SWORDBEARER's Interests:

About Me: After 40 of credited service to New York State I have retired. I am happily married to a wonderful woman and I try to treat her like my princess. I blog for Hubpages and have done so for quite a while. I write poetry and spiritual articles. I just had my first book published in October '11. Perhaps because I can't tan and avoid all sun, because I married a beautiful black woman. I also have adopted two wonderful children who are now grown and successful adults. This was in my first marriage and they probably have stories to tell of black children raised by white parents. I'd like to think that this society could move past the color thing but I know better. Too much is based on it in media and social structure. This marriage has lasted 13 years and we love and play and have a great time.

Interests: I love to write and walk in the woods. I love movies and plays. I love country music and classical. I like individual songs of almost any type. I like to read and watch tv. I like exercise once I get down to the gym. I love to listen to talk radio and sometimes dabble in some politics.

Favorite Music: I listen to classical music when I'm uptight. I listen to R&B, Rock when I am trying to motivate myself to move. I listen to classical country when I want to sing all the words to the songs. I like classical Christian music radio stations as well.

Favorite Movies: In the action section I like any of the Bond movies and movies that have big visual effects. In the fantasy section I like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and any movie with a sword in it. In the Sci-Fi section I like some but Sci-Fi tends to be political. I love classical horror as well (you know the kind that knots you up inside without a lot of very graphic blood and guts).

Favorite Television: I like 24, some reality shows, Discovery channel, Chiller channel, Sci-Fi channel. I love Simpsons, Family Guy and south park(though I laugh myself silly at them, there are times that I am put off by some things said or done, but then I find something else to laugh at)

Favorite Books: I love to read the Left Behind series, mysteries, fantasy novels, I love a good biography and picture history books, (I have a large collection of Cival war and other books)
