I only pretend to be someone I'm not when I know there's something to gain from it. Even though it's not the greatest thing for my inner self and outer image,if impressing someone is so important- or the last possible resort- I'll admit that sometimes I tell a few lies about myself to look better for others. But if being someone I'm not is the only way to get someone's attention so they'll like me, it's probaly not a person that I should focus on hanging out with.

SHORTY's Interests:
About Me:
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. When I was born my parents said all I did before I could talk was hum softly to myself. They told me I was desperately trying to sing even then. I grew up singing, and at age six, I started trying to play the guitar. By age eight I was creating, writing, and preforming my own songs. My fourth grade teacher noticed me writing during class one day and pulled me aside during free class time. She told me I had an amazing talent and should put it to good use. She handed me a flyer that wanted young writers' poems to put into a published book. Giving her a confused look I asked her what this had to do with me considering I wrote songs not poems. She smiled and explained that one of my many songs could be transformed into a poem. On and of for the next month, she helped me turn one of my old songs into a brand new poem. My poem was published into America's Young Poets Digest 2003 later that year.
Interests:
I love preforming (singing, dancing, playing instraments, etc.) for others. I'm also getting into writing poems and stories, and have been working on a book of my own to publish for the past year. I can also beat almost every guy on my school's football team at an arm wrestle or one-on-one game of tackle football.
Favorite Music:
Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Green Day. . . I also like some older music such as Mick Jagger, AC/DC, Jimmy Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones.
Favorite Movies:
I like White Chicks, Hitch, Happy Feet, and Date Movie. The Scary Movies aren't bad either.
Favorite Television:
I'm obsessed with SpongeBob SquarePants, Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang, and Family Guy. I also like War at Home, Still Standing, According to Jim, Reba, American Dad, and The Simpsons.
Favorite Books:
Right now I'm more into writing the stories than reading them. But I do love murder Mysteries and horror novels such as Stephen King. I am also attached to the book, Wicked.
