Differences between Home and Office Bleaching Procedures, Video

The given Video is created by BFC Dental. This video explains the differences between the teeth whitening bleaching procedure carried out at home and the same procedure when carried at a dental clinic.

The first difference is the strength of the bleaching agent. Home use whitening products usually contain a lower strength-bleaching agent (3% hydrogen peroxide). At a dental clinic, professionally applied whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide in concentrations of 15% - 43%.

At home, no protective measures are provided whereas, at the office, professionals take care of everything. Another advantage of getting your teeth bleached at the office is the speed. Home whitening products are usually applied daily for 1-2 hrs for up to 4 weeks. On the other hand, office whitening procedures provide the quickest and most effective way to whiten the teeth.

Although Home use whitening products are a less expensive option but office use whitening products offers greater benefits over an unsupervised process.

There are many side-effects of using home-based bleaching products. You can watch the video below and know more in this regard.
