Consider a recent argument you've had with someone important people in your life. Were you actively listening and trying to fully see their side? Is there anything you wanted to say but didn't? Why not? What can you do to make communication more effective? This is a very interesting perspective on conflict. We must listen with our ears open and our hearts and minds... otherwise we're butting our heads into a brick wall. What's the point in having a discussion if you're not even going to listen?
