New King James Version (NKJV)
25“To whom then will you liken Me, Orto whomshall I be equal?” says the Holy One. 26Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created thesethings, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength ofHispower; Not one is missing.
27Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: Lord, And my just claim is passed over by my God”? 28Have you not known? Have you not heard? Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29He gives power to the weak, And tothose who haveno might He increases strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31But those who wait on theLord Shall renewtheirstrength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
25“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and fivewerefoolish.3Those whowerefoolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.5But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight a cry washeard:‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give ussomeof your oil, for our lamps are going out.’But the wise answered, saying, ‘No,lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’12But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hourin which the Son of Man is coming. **Interesting to note here that the word 'oil' in the Bible is symbolic of the Holy Spirit**
